Pedal and Art

I can imagine bikes hooked up to make some fascinating spin art or pedaling through puddles of colourful paint creating marvelous designs on roadways, but ART BIKERS has been doing something even better. Pedaling art into the hearts of children for the past seven years is part of what Terri Whetstone, Executive Director of the 4Cs Foundation envisioned for the Halifax area.  Since 2007, summer students have biked into neighbourhoods pulling colourful trailers full of art supplies, spilling out fun and creativity into the community. Over 4000 people of all ages and abilities have enjoyed free art-making activities and projects delivered by bike to their streets. Well done ART BIKERS and thanks to the 4C’s Foundation for providing grants and other opportunities for community arts projects in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
